Do you enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to help create business solutions that help improve access to affordable healthcare?

As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you will be responsible for providing systems analysis support for technology-enabled solutions serving internal business units and work closely with business leaders and users, subject matter experts, project managers and IT professionals. You will elicit requirements and provide clear, concise documentation, analyze systems, analyze data, troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis, and contribute to systems-related business process design and improvement.

Please note that while SFHP supports a hybrid work environment, this role will be required to be onsite and in-office a minimum of 4 days per month.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Collaborate actively with business partners, project managers, all levels of management, technical staff, architects, and vendors to analyze Business Requirements/Needs and create clear and concise functional requirements
  • Actively lead and participate in requirements elicitation and apply a combination of business and technical knowledge to solve business problems with cost-effective technical solutions
  • Use creative problem-solving skills to remove barriers and effective communication skills to keep all parties informed of status
  • Work with end-users as needed to develop and execute test plans to verify business systems and processes work as expected
  • Develop and recommend operational processes and /or process improvements
  • Support production system incidents; troubleshoot and provide root cause analysi.
  • Foster an environment that solicits and enlists diverse and inclusive perspectives and approaches to better serve our staff, our members and our providers.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • A degree from a four-year college (e. g., BS) or equivalent work experience
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst or comparable position in a healthcare environment
  • Prior experience at a healthcare organization, particularly at a managed health plan
  • 1-3 years’ experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries
  • Familiarity in managing requirements (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Familiarity with HIPAA healthcare EDI transactions and file formats preferred
  • Excellent understanding of all phases of SDLC, with Agile experience a strong plus
  • Strong understanding and experience gathering requirements and documentation
  • Lead productive meetings, deliver professional oral and written presentations
  • Ability to interact well with co-workers and outside contacts. Ability to work in a team environment using industry best practices
