OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Director, Revenue Strategy, Analytics, and Planning, the Sr. Manager, Revenue Strategy, Analytics, and Planning will provide direct support to revenue team leadership by proactively monitoring data quality, troubleshooting and responding to requests, providing or creating dashboards and reports, surfacing trends and insights, and creating performance reports to inform various revenue priorities. In this role, the Sr. Manager will embody our Revenue Operations team’s vision for excellence in shared service delivery to support revenue growth and outcomes. All projects in this role’s purview will help equip leaders with data and insights to increase revenue and make strategic decisions at scale; provide increased accountability through clear goal setting and improved ability to measure and report on KPIs; and help us hit our targets for cost per dollar raised and cost per customer acquired.
As an ideal candidate for this role, you will bring a passion for our mission and an interest in leveraging your experience in revenue operations, data analytics and reporting, or sales support. To be successful in this position, you must have a customer-service approach to working with front-line fundraisers, sales colleagues, people managers, and revenue leadership. In addition, you will be someone who is highly detail-oriented, and has some technical experience working with databases or deep experience with Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or other financial forecasting tools. You will also have strong communications skills and understand how to prioritize and simplify information visually, both in data visualization as well as other visual products like slides or one-pagers.
The Sr. Manager of Revenue Strategy, Analytics, and Planning will also interact with students as a coach, mentor, group facilitator, or advocate, participating in building a positive educational environment.
This is a hybrid role requiring regular in-person engagement. Applicants must live within a reasonable commutable distance to a Year Up United location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Strategy, Operations, and Analytics
Create and monitor reports and dashboards in support of revenue teams pursuit of topline sales and fundraising goals
Create and monitor effective dashboards for revenue leadership, executive team, or Revenue Operations lead, report on trends, and respond to analysis requests, coach on interpretation of results
Translate Revenue Operations reporting processes into requirements and systematic workflows that drive efficiency and improved business results with a lens for automating existing manual processes and focusing on process improvement throughout.
Partner with colleagues and technical resources to analyze and document design for data, workflow, logical processes, and system integrations
Lead on annual planning processes, including the determination of revenue KPIs and tracking our success toward those KPIs through various reports and memos
Inform performance analytics processes and reports for revenue colleagues to self-monitor progress to goals intermittently and during performance reviews
Coach colleagues to effectively leverage reporting in preparing for pipeline meetings
Other duties as assigned
Site Team/Learning Community Member
Serve as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students
Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students
Participate in staff meetings and trainings
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of professional work experience required.
CRM database, experience required, with a preference for Salesforce.com experience.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office required, especially Microsoft Word and Excel and communicating concepts via PowerPoint required.
Beginner SQL required (e.g., data types, where, group by, aggregate functions, basic joins) with Intermediate SQL preferred (e.g., pivot/unpivot, case, CTEs, window functions).
Tableau, Power BI, or other similar data visualization tool usage experience required.
Excellent organizational and written skills, project management skills required.
Exceptional customer service and stakeholder management skills with excellent follow up and follow through required.
An unwavering attention to detail and aptitude for information management required.
Familiarity with ServiceNow, Zendesk, and/or other help desk tools preferred.
Exposure to visual design theory preferred.
Experience with data modelling methodologies preferred.
Experience in fundraising or sales statistics and/or forecasting preferred.
A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player
Flexibility, creativity, and willingness to learn and work on different tasks as needed

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
