ABOUT THIS ROLE

This Internship will start in July and end in early December, with some flexibility. The salary range for this position is $18 - 20/hour. The Event Intern will report to the Event Manager of Aspen Digital and will also engage regularly with the Event Associate and other members of the Aspen Digital team. The expectation is to work 30 - 40 hours a week, and in accordance with our Reimagining Work policy, the Event Intern should be willing to be in-person with colleagues a minimum of 40% of the time while having the flexibility to work remotely for the balance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Research and liaise with event vendors, including caterers, restaurants, A/V providers, printers, and others.

  • Using pre-existing templates and working with Aspen Digital brand guidelines, make website updates and design signage, name tags, bio books, and other printed materials

  • Track participant and speaker registration and attendance information, including for lodging & travel purposes.

  • Support the creation of planning documents including runs of show, narrator scripts, staffing plans, and staff briefings.

  • Assist with general project management for Aspen Digital virtual programs.

  • Provide onsite staffing support at Aspen Digital events, as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO THRIVE

  • Must be enrolled in or recent graduate of an accredited college/university.
  • Demonstrated aptitude with operations work, creative problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Strong, demonstrable writing skills.

  • Excellent computer skills, specifically, expertise with: Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.

  • Canva experience preferred.

  • Basic web editing experience preferred.
