The Managing Director, Talent Pipeline will play a critical role in strengthening Idaho’s education leadership ecosystem by designing and executing leadership development programs for TFA alumni and Network Leaders. This role will focus on building clear pathways for educators to grow into impactful leadership roles while ensuring strong alignment to regional priorities and community needs.

This leader will also oversee talent matching and career coaching efforts, connecting educators to high-impact opportunities and supporting them in navigating their leadership journeys.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

The Managing Director, Talent Pipeline is a strategic program and talent development leader who designs and executes leadership pathways while building strong relationships across the education ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities include:

Design and Execute Leadership Development Programs (80%)

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of four leadership development programs for TFA alumni and Network Leaders:

  • Mentor Program: Pair experienced classroom teachers with first- and second-year teachers to support their professional growth

  • School Leadership Track: Develop and support aspiring school leaders on pathways to school-level leadership roles

  • School Systems Leadership: Cultivate leaders pursuing district or network-level leadership opportunities

  • Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE): Support alumni and Network Leaders interested in education policy and advocacy

Ensure programs are aligned to regional priorities, grounded in equity, and responsive to the needs of Idaho’s education landscape.

Lead Talent Matching and Career Coaching (20%)

  • Build and manage a talent matching system that connects TFA alumni and equity-focused educators with leadership opportunities across Idaho.

  • Provide individualized career coaching to support educators in navigating career decisions, accessing opportunities, and achieving their leadership goals.

  • Develop strong relationships with schools, districts, and partner organizations to identify leadership needs and align talent accordingly.

A WEEK IN THE LIFE

Over the course of any week, the Managing Director, Talent Pipeline will:

  • Design and refine programming for leadership development cohorts

  • Facilitate or support training sessions and workshops

  • Coach alumni and educators through career decisions and leadership pathways

  • Connect with school and system leaders to understand hiring needs

  • Match candidates to leadership opportunities across the region

  • Collaborate with regional and cross-regional teams to align strategy and share best practices

  • Track program outcomes and make data-informed improvements

  • Build relationships with stakeholders across Idaho’s education ecosystem

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum qualifications):

  • Experience designing, launching, and managing professional development or leadership programs

  • Strong program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and provide impactful 1:1 coaching

  • Experience working across teams or regions to drive shared goals and initiatives

  • Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align talent development efforts to broader regional priorities

  • Deep commitment to educational equity and experience working with diverse communities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across stakeholders

BONUS (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience working in rural education contexts or with rural communities

  • Background in educator leadership development or talent pipeline work

  • Familiarity with Idaho’s education landscape

  • Experience in talent matching, recruitment, or career coaching

  • Experience working with TFA alumni or similar educator networks

YOUR COMPENSATION

The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint, depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Salary Tier A: $81,700 - 109,300
