POSITION REPORTS TO: Managing Director, Leadership Development

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, Jul 25, 2025

LOCATION: Connecticut

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for four (4) passionate educators to serve as Content Specialists and support the development of 2025-2026 corps members in Connecticut. Each Content Specialist will lead a Professional Learning Community (PLC) grounded in one of the following content areas:

  • Elementary (K–5): You bring deep expertise in early literacy, foundational math, and the unique developmental needs of younger learners.

  • Humanities (Secondary ELA + Social Studies): You are well-versed in culturally responsive instruction and building students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.

  • STEM (Secondary Math + Science): You bring content fluency and know how to help students apply mathematical and scientific thinking in real-world contexts.

  • Special Education (K–12): You have experience supporting diverse learners and integrating inclusive, differentiated instruction into classroom practice.

The ideal candidate in each area brings strong content knowledge and a desire to help new teachers grow in their instructional practice. You will plan and facilitate four in-person PLC sessions (August, October, February, and April), helping corps members strengthen their skills, use data to drive instruction, and reflect on their teaching. You’ll collaborate closely with the Managing Director, Leadership Development to identify corps member needs and tailor your support accordingly.

The goal is to cultivate a learning space where new teachers build the knowledge, mindsets, and skills they need to thrive—and to help students across Connecticut experience rigorous, equitable learning every day.

  • Submit timesheets at the end of each month

Collaboration with Teach For America staff
