TITLE/REQUISITION: Associate, Recruitment Data and Events Operations (Temp, Part-Time)

REPORTS TO: MD, Innovation Analytics and Technology

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Associate, Recruitment Data and Events Operations, you will play a vital role in supporting initiatives that drive impactful national/virtual recruitment, university partnerships, event planning, and data management. You will leverage your strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to help ensure the smooth execution of key projects.

You will be responsible for managing critical data updates, assisting with research to explore opportunities for university partnerships, and supporting event planning and execution strategies. Working closely with the Recruitment Enablement Marketing and Innovation team (REMI), you will create and analyze reports, coordinate logistics for events, and ensure data quality across systems. Your role will also involve assisting with event promotion, from creating digital assets like UTMs and QR codes to supporting SMS reminder campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience with Salesforce.

This is a temporary, part time role, working 20 hours per week, starting in November and working into the late spring (May 2025).

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Data Reporting and Management (50% of time)

  • Conduct strategic data gathering and management in Salesforce to ensure clear and accurate data to inform recruitment efforts

  • Maintain and update various reports and dashboards in Salesforce, providing critical insights and tracking performance metrics.

  • Handle large-scale data uploads related to faculty/staff sourcing and event scrubbing using Salesforce.

  • Assist with the collection and organization of key data, ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date.

  • Draw conclusions from data, and make strategic recommendations where appropriate.

University Partnerships Support (30% of the time)

  • Conduct research on opportunities for paid media and employer sponsorships.

  • Help identify potential locations for testing small-scale conferences.

  • Assist with document preparation for meetings.

Event Support (10% of the time)

  • Work directly with the events team to plan and execute events of varying scale for leads and prospects of Teach For America.

  • Serve as a consultant on events to ensure prospects receive a consistent, compelling, and personalized brand experience

  • Consult on and leverage appropriate strategies for driving event attendance

  • Support recruiters in incorporating and leveraging horizontal event strategies that will meet broader recruitment campaign needs (influencers, amplification, word of mouth)

  • Ensure recruitment events follow national brand standards in all event programming and marketing content

Special Projects (10% of time)

  • Take on special projects for the REMI Team as needed, including, but not limited to, supporting pilot projects to increase recruitment outcomes and inform future strategy

A WEEK IN THE LIFE

Over the course of any week, the Associate, Recruitment Marketing and Communications will spend time gathering and managing data in Salesforce to keep recruitment efforts running smoothly, updating dashboards, and handling large data uploads. They'll also research opportunities for paid media and employer sponsorships, scout potential conference locations, and help prepare documents for upcoming meetings. There's also time set aside for collaborating on a weekly newsletter email and jumping into event planning, ensuring everything stays on brand and engages prospects. They'll also join a check-in with their manager to stay aligned on priorities and tackle special projects that support recruitment strategy.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum qualifications):

  • Experience working with Salesforce and Google Suite is essential. In particular, a strong understanding of Salesforce reporting is necessary to be successful in this role.

  • Prior experience in data management or event planning is highly desirable.

  • Excellent data analysis skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong written communication skills for report writing and documenting processes.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively across various responsibilities.

  • Approaches work with a mindset of innovation and creativity

  • Record of achievement in academics, leadership, and/or employment

  • Comfort with working in areas of ambiguity with a high level of initiative and personal responsibility

  • Detail-oriented and results-driven

  • Strong relationship builder who is able to build rapport quickly and drive action with a diverse group of individuals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

BONUS (preferred qualifications)

  • Strong understanding of Teach For America’s mission, brand, and value proposition

  • Research and problem-solving capabilities, especially within higher education and partnerships

  • Basic understanding of marketing tools (UTMs, SMS campaigns).

  • Experience with Canva for basic design support

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

The REMI (Recruitment Enablement Marketing and Innovation) team is a small agile team. Our work is highly innovative and we operate in a structure of testing possible strategies and scaling them once proven successful. Our work spans marketing at the top of the recruitment funnel, and includes national events, university partnerships, paid media, high volume strategies, digital marketing technology, lead nurture strategy, and field enablement (i.e., helping our recruiters better execute their campaigns).

YOUR COMPENSATION

The applicable hourly rate for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected hourly rates for this role are set forth below. These rates may be modified in the future.

A: $25.68

B: $28.03

C: $30.29
