WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manager, Operations who will play a vital role within the Corps Member and Alumni Leadership Development team. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that our staff members, corps members and alumni experience seamless and impactful program logistics. Your role is not just about managing operations; it’s about crafting memorable experiences through meticulous planning, organization, and execution. In addition, this role will serve as the first line of support for data issues and will play a crucial part in various operational tasks related to learning initiatives and data management. We seek a candidate who thrives in dynamic environments, embodies a commitment to excellence, and understands the significance of behind-the-scenes work in delivering outstanding program outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Program Operations (30%)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the logistics and operational elements of CMALD programs for internal stakeholders and external participants

  • Travel to on the ground programs to execute program operations tasks

  • Work with program managers to execute on operational tasks to prepare for programmatic gatherings

Finance Systems Support (20%)

  • Design and oversee project budgets, meticulously tracking expenditures to stay within budget parameters. This includes developing comprehensive tracking systems that provide real-time insights into spending and resource allocation.

  • Manage team expense reporting processes, serving as a resource for the team, managing invoices and ensuring timely payments, and maintaining transparency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Data Collection and Systems Support (30%)

  • Conduct preliminary investigations and troubleshoot data issues and questions for both in-service and pre-service operations

  • Track and manage follow-ups for data system support requests and inquiries to ensure timely resolutions.

  • Support ane execute on data structure tasks, such as transferring data between sources, entering data into systems

  • Manage the updating of documents and links to ensure that new supports are accurately linked and accessible across relevant internal platforms for staff and participants

  • Assist in the logistical aspects of building out programming surveys, focusing on detail-oriented tasks

  • Enter data into and leverage Salesforce to effectively manage, collect, and report on relevant data

  • Design and maintain intake forms (e.g. SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, etc.), trackers, or other tools that help us collect data

Program Communications (20%)

  • Manage communication efforts, including drafting and distributing information about our programs across various channels to keep participants informed and engaged, ensuring they feel valued and connected throughout their journey.

  • Create compelling communications collateral as needed including presentations, social media content, informational decks and documents, etc.

  • Create content for and manage the ongoing communications channels internal and external (Facebook and LinkedIn groups, social channels, etc.)

  • Produce monthly newsletter communications and occasional mass email outreach using Salesforce

  • Maintain external and internal-facing web pages

Flexibility and Adaptability:

  • Maintain a proactive approach to emerging projects or priorities, demonstrating agility in managing shifting demands. Your ability to pivot and respond to changing circumstances will be crucial in supporting the team’s goals.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years in operations, project management, or finance related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Project Management Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

  • Ownership and Accountability: A strong sense of responsibility for your work, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to excellence.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to convey information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to use tools like Canva, SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Google Suite, etc, to improve communication, efficiency and productivity.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work collaboratively in virtual environments, developing strong relationships with internal partners.

  • Customer Service Orientation: A dedication to providing exceptional service and support, always striving to exceed participant expectations.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of program operations is executed flawlessly.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating environments characterized by change and uncertainty, demonstrating resilience and a positive attitude.

YOUR COMPENSATION

The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Tier A: $55,700 - $74,500

  • Tier B: $60,700 - $81,300

  • Tier C: $65,700 - $87,900
