ROLE TITLE: DEIB Conversation Facilitator (Temp)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

DEIB Conversation Facilitators are responsible for facilitating equity-focused conversations over food in-person with groups of ~15 1st and 2nd year corps members. Facilitators will receive conversation guidance, engage in 1-2 hours of training, facilitate the ~1.5 hour conversation/meal, and participate in a 30-60 minute debrief. Conversations/meals will happen in the fall and spring, and you will facilitate 2-3 events in total throughout the year.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (8-15 hours total):

• Internalize and prepare for DEIB conversations/meals, including preparing model reflections to share with corps members (2-3 hours total)

• Attend training and rehearsal (1.5 hours each season; 3 hours total)

• Facilitate 2-3 DEIB conversations/meals (~1.5 hours each; 3-4.5 hours total)

• Debrief each DEIB conversation/meal with TFA Staff (30-60 minutes each; 1-3 hours)

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years of professional work experience, with at least some experience in direct DEIB work and/or DEIB development with adults

• At least 2 years of ECE-12 teaching experience with demonstrated student success (academic achievement, cultural competence, sociopolitical consciousness)

• Exemplary DEIB facilitation with adults

• A core belief that people can learn, grow, and change

• A commitment to ongoing learning

• Vigilant self-awareness

• Demonstrated success working across various lines of power and difference

YOUR COMPENSATION

The DEIB Conversation Facilitator role is compensated at an hourly rate throughout the entire commitment. The applicable rate for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Hourly rates for this role are as follows:

Tier A: $25.68

Tier B: $28.03

Tier C: $30.29

ROLE DURATION

The start date for this position is September 17, 2024. The DEIB Conversation Facilitators will host events on the following dates:

• Fall 2024: 10/8, 10/19, 11/6, 12/7

• Spring 2025: 2/25, 3/1, 3/12, 3/15
