WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Director of Matriculation Communications & Systems will lead the planning and execution for incoming corps member communication to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment for a positive participant matriculation experience. Ultimately, you ensure that participants get the information they need, when they need it, in a comprehensive and cohesive way.
More specifically, you’ll create and and maintain the master forecast and communications calendar for admitted applicants in multiple platforms and systems used during this phase of the journey. As we continue to build out the vision for technology and communications integration work, you will play a key role in determining how Admissions and Technology partner together to achieve strong products that meet the needs of incoming corps members and regions. You’ll also partner closely with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is clear and cohesive for participants. In this role, you’ll work on projects with numerous moving pieces and be the one to ensure that all of the pieces come together to form a coherent picture to support our incoming corps members.

You are skilled in working across teams, building relationships, and laterally managing others to achieve outcomes. In addition, you possess strong writing skills, as you will be the key writer for drafting copy and editing messages with a lens toward participant needs during matriculation. You like having a flexible schedule, because holding engagements for participants outside of business hours (especially in spring) is important to creating accessible spaces for incoming corps members.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Participant Communications (30%)
Lead the planning & execution of the incoming corps communications strategy & master calendar for applicants from offer to first day of Pre-Service for all incoming corps members.
Responsible for template creations and large sends from Admissions and other partners post-offer.
Plans and executes content, logistics, and tech for centralized program offerings, with M, Matric Operations & Systems.
Responsible for understanding the incoming corps member experience through our participant communications, including monthly newsletters, centralized offerings, and onboarding platforms and adjusting course when necessary.
Cross-Team Collaboration (30%)
Project manager for complex communication and leads the cross-functional working group to collaborate and consult with other teams (CMALD, Recruitment Team, AmeriCorps, Digital Product, etc) contributing to or who are affected by communication campaigns and incoming corps member onboarding experience.
Work closely with the Assignment & CM Finances teams to send and support communication & learning relevant to assignment preferencing, placement, transitional grants and loans, summer funding, and other programs through Admissions.
Set Up & Manage Onboarding Platforms (30%)
Business lead for existing systems that track communications and onboarding experience of incoming corps members, like XPRS, Docebo, OneApp. Would monitor the effectiveness of these systems, partner with all teams on usage, and approve requests for access.
Design and implement training and learnings relevant to participant systems and tech, particularly for new users (ie. confirmation callers in XPRS)
Collaborate with partners to ensure all participants are enrolled in onboarding platforms.
Provide direct-to-participant support to navigate platforms through the creation of “how to” videos and co-hosting incoming corps members office hours, in partnership with the Manager, Matriculation Operations & Systems.
Agile Team Responsibilities (10%):
Serve as an “all hands on deck” team member willing to support Growth in various ways as needs and opportunities arise.
Engage in selecting our incoming corps as an interviewer
A WEEK IN THE LIFE
Over any week, the Director, Matriculation Communications and Systems will spend time:
Meeting with colleagues on other teams to plan, collaborate on cross-team projects, and laterally manage others to achieve outcomes
Drafting copy and editing messages with a lens toward participant needs during matriculation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Creating email templates for our MD, Matriculation Generalists to use in communication with their incoming corps members
Creating graphics and other templates in Canva for our MD, Matriculation Generalists to use during onboarding
Creating slide deck templates for our centralized events and regional community calls
Pulling registration lists and sending out text reminders for events
Hosting engagements for our participants, both during and outside of business hours
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most of this role (minimum qualifications):
3+ years work experience
Ability to effectively and consistently track multiple tasks simultaneously to meet goals, communicate progress, and follow through with implementation plans
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
BONUS (preferred qualifications)
Prior Experience
5+ years work experience
Experience with sending communications to larger audiences
A track record of getting results while managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
Experience working with our platforms and tech systems, such as Docebo, Slack, XPRS, TFACT, Canva, Articulate, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Teach For America corps member and/or staff member experience is strongly preferred
WORK DEMANDS
Ability to work weekend and evening hours
Ability to travel if needed for in-person work opportunities
Flexibility to respond outside of typical business hours, to support participants

YOUR COMPENSATION:
The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Tier A: $67,500 min and $101,100 max
Tier B: 73,600 min and $110,200 max
Tier C: 79,700 min and $119,400 max
