WHAT YOU’LL DO
Teach For America Milwaukee is seeking a Director of Community Programming. This individual can elevate, create and evaluate programming and partnerships that impact alumni, community partners and the corps. This person will develop the strategies and goals for TFA Milwaukee’s programs centered on alumni fellowships, the Teacher Pathway Program, Ignite tutoring and corps member school placement. This person can rally, organize, and manage people, processes, and resources. As a strong project manager, they will lead through collaboration, strong communication and being vision-centered. To inform programmatic efficacy, this individual will track data, solicit feedback and make data driven decisions to improve the product. As Director of Community Programming, this person will lead strategy and programs that lift the region’s vision for impact.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Alumni Fellowships (35%)
● Work alongside the Executive Director (ED) to create, replicate and revise professional development opportunities and fellowships for TFA alumni and community partners that align with local needs and the 2030 goal
● Determine ambitious and feasible goals and outcomes for the professional development programs that measure direct impact on schools, students and teachers
● Survey, solicit feedback and track participant data to measure the efficacy of the programs and directly inform decisions before launch of program, in-year and post completion ● Manage and grow the relationships with fellowship consultant and leaders to ensure program efficacy and accountability
● Collaborate with community partners, alumni and schools to inform program development and improvement
Teacher Pathway Program (30%)
● Grow the existing Teacher Pathway Program from Phase 1: High School Dual Enrollment Programming to Phase 2: College Mentorship and Affordability and Phase 3: Students Return to Teach in Milwaukee Schools
● Manage the relationship with college partners to increase course options for students and affordability of dual enrollment costs
● Lead TFA’s partnership with area high schools in the dual enrollment program, aggregating feedback and maximizing collaboration
● Ideate and execute opportunities for schools to collaborate, share resources and elevate the dual enrollment program through the consortium
● Plan opportunities for students to convene in the annual conference and informal gatherings
Ignite Tutoring (20%)
● Learn all information on TFA’s Ignite tutoring program and localize the necessary conditions for Milwaukee implementation
● Explore potential partnerships with area schools interested in math tutoring as it aligns with TFA Milwaukee’s 2030 goal
● Work closely with national partners on a timeline to implement Ignite in Milwaukee in FY26 Corps Member School Placement (15%)
● Collaborate with Milwaukee’s Managing Director of Leadership Development (MDLD) to plan and execute corps member school placement
● Plan and communicate the annual corps member interview fair with school partners ● Partner with the MDLD and ED on determining corps member school placement assignments
A WEEK IN THE LIFE
Over the course of any week, the Director of Community Programming will:
● Ideate and develop strategies that elevate alumni professional development, the Teacher Pathway Program and Ignite tutoring at a local level
● Discuss with alumni and school partners professional training needs and opportunities to provide support
● Collaborate with consultants, colleges and partners to design professional development programs that address alumni and community needs
● Attend and participate in fellowship, Teacher Pathway Program, alumni and Ignite workshops, meetings and gatherings, representing TFA Milwaukee
● Provide and collect feedback on the efficacy of our offered programming to improve practice and measure progress to goals
● Participate in team meetings and 1:1 meetings to advance shared and individual goals. Work collaboratively with the team to identify opportunities to collaborate, support one another’s work and inform each other on progress.

● Has managed multiple professional partners that drive towards improving student outcomes, adult learning and community partnerships
● Designed programming based on observation and feedback to meet the needs of the community
● Grown existing programs and partnerships, elevating the outcomes and number of people impacted
● Detail-oriented while remaining vision-centered in planning and execution.
● Proactive: Sees what is around the corner for collaboration, communication and planning
● Analyzes and visually represents data that can help a team make decisions.
YOUR COMPENSATION
The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.
SALARY Range: 74,300 - 111, 300
