As a result, our teachers are more likely to feel part of a connected and thriving community, increasingly achieve meaningful and enduring impact, and commit to systems-change leadership in their work for educational equity.

The AmeriCorps Partnerships Team delivers the consulting, coaching, tools, and resources to regions to support them in successfully securing and managing AmeriCorps grants. We lead our organization’s efforts to work towards 100% grant compliance to ensure a full drawdown of AmeriCorps grants. AmeriCorps is a federal program that aims to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering, and Teach For America has been a part of AmeriCorps since its founding in 1994. Teach For America secures about $30M/year in AmeriCorps funding as organizational operating dollars and the benefits our corps members receive from membership--the education award, loan forbearance, and payment of interest accrued. This funding helps increase the diversity of our corps by decreasing the financial barriers to participation. Additionally, we seek to diversify our national and regional funding portfolios by ensuring government investment in our work.
