Summits Education is reimagining what’s possible for children in rural Haiti. Founded in 2015, this Boston-based nonprofit partners with Haiti’s Ministry of Education to ensure every child—no matter where they’re born—has access to a meaningful, high-quality education. Centered in the Central Plateau, one of the poorest regions in the Western Hemisphere, Summits supports a vibrant network of 39 primary schools serving over 11,000 students and employing 350 dedicated educators. Guided by the belief that lasting change comes from within communities, Summits builds on Haiti’s existing strengths rather than starting anew—helping schools, teachers, and students rise together.
Powered by partnerships with major foundations, individual supporters, educational institutions, and Haiti’s Ministry of Education, Summits focuses on three pillars of support for its student population: quality academics; a locally sourced daily meals program; and health and wellness check-ups and interventions. In addition, Summits supports a robust professional development and career growth program for its teachers. The results speak for themselves: student success rates have climbed from 65% to 78%, some schools now boast 100% pass rates, and literacy has nearly doubled through the innovative Read Haiti program. Together, Summits’ educators, students, and partners are proving that with the right support, every child can reach new heights.

- Work with an external consultant to develop and implement marketing and communications efforts, including fundraising collateral such as the annual report, appeals, and community or donor events.
- Oversee development operations and donor management systems, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and high-quality stewardship through effective use of EveryAction and other CRM tools.
- Serve as a knowledgeable and persuasive ambassador for Summits’ mission and vision, demonstrating fluency in global education and the organization’s programs, goals, and impact.
