Educate Girls UK is a growing, globally connected force on a mission to unlock the power of girls’ education.
Backed by bold philanthropy and results-driven impact, we partner with local changemakers in India to deliver real outcomes for the most marginalised girls by connecting them or providing them with a second chance to education. We intend to expand this mission through local NGO partners across in Asia, South America and Africa.
Educate Girls UK (EG UK) is looking for a Director to lead this chapter of growth.
As the UK-based Director, you will lead the development of EG UK’s strategy to engage donors across the EMEA region, driving support for girls’ education through NGO partnerships in Asia, Africa, and South America, while ensuring effective governance from the UK entity’s perspective.
This is a career-defining role at the intersection of global development, high-impact philanthropy and systems change.
You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a powerful collaborative with the goal to impact over 10 million lives in the next 10 years. That’s redefining what’s possible for millions of girls denied their right to education.
What You’ll Lead
1. Strategy & Global Growth
- Develop and drive a bold EG UK strategy that fuels Educate Girls’ global ambitions.
- Identify and activate partnerships for program delivery across Asia, Africa and South America to expand impact.
- Act as a global connector, bridging EMEA funders with local program partners.
2. Fundraising & Partnerships
- Lead all fundraising in the EMEA region, focusing on major donors, trusts, foundations and institutional funders.
- Build a robust pipeline through relationship-building, storytelling and strategic stewardship.
- Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-touch, high-impact donor experiences.
3. Governance, Compliance & Finance
- Oversee UK legal, financial and operational responsibilities with precision.
- Ensure full compliance with charity law, fundraising regulations and governance standards.
- Collaborate with trustees, advisors and auditors for strong financial oversight and reporting.

Who You Are
- A mission-driven leader, deeply committed to girls’ education and global justice.
- A fundraising powerhouse with a proven track record of securing high 7-figure and above gifts from UK/EMEA-based donors or institutions
- Strategic and entrepreneurial – you know how to build from the ground up, but think globally.
- A relationship-builder – credible with HNWIs, philanthropic foundations and development institutions.
- Experienced in UK charity governance, finance and compliance.
- An exceptional communicator and collaborator, thriving in diverse, cross-cultural environments.
Knowledge of the international development or education landscape preferable
