Collaboration doesn’t happen on its own — it takes dedicated support. ESIP’s Technical Community Manager will be responsible for cultivating and sustaining innovation in ESIP’s more technical domains. This position is 40 hours per week and is fully remote. Salary is $75,000-$90,000 depending on experience. They will report to the Executive Director, with guidance from our Community Director.
The position will:
- Support technical-oriented Collaboration Areas including Cloud Computing, Data Readiness, Information Technology and Interoperability, Machine Learning, and others
- Oversee ESIP’s microfunding programs including the ESIP Lab grants and FUNding Friday awards
- Support NASA’s Advanced Information Systems Technology (AIST) evaluations and the ESIP Sandbox environments in AWS and Nebari.
We seek an individual who is not afraid to try new things and encourages others to explore. Also, this person gets excited about the role of data management in science and the broader world.
