Role and Responsibilities-
We are seeking a motivated person for RealFix, Paterson’s award winning program whereby we seek to make quality Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder faster, cheaper and easier to attain than illicit opioids. We do so via telehealth for the housed and rapid transportation to inpatient treatment for the unhoused. We hope you will join us in building this game changing approach, first in Paterson and later the rest of the state and country. Under direction, performs various field and office work involved in aiding substance abusers in being placed with quality rehabilitation programs and assists them with their problems; does related work as required.

Examples of Work
· Interviews clients concerning problems of their substance abuse.
· Gathers information regarding existing rehabilitation programs and their availability.
· Conducts investigations of clients to establish their eligibility for rehabilitative maintenance.
· Explains the program thoroughly including full ramifications of the rehabilitative maintenance program to the client, spouse, and/or other family members.
Requirements-
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree or a High School Diploma and training as a Peer Recover Specialist.
NOTE: Applicants who do not meet the above college or university education requirement may substitute experience as described below on a year for year basis with one (1) year being equal to thirty (30) semester hours of credits.
License: Appointees will be required possess a driver’s license valid in NJ only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
Experience: One (1) year of experience in social case work (or comparable academic or clinical experience), which shall have involved the responsibility for gathering and analyzing social information from clients, the determination of their needs, and the planning and administration of treatment plans geared toward the needs of individual clients.
Knowledge & Abilities
· Knowledge of psychological and social problems of chemically dependent persons.
· Knowledge of the methods used to gather and analyze information.
· Knowledge of the public and private resources providing rehabilitation to substance abusers.
· Ability to analyze laws, rules, regulations, and procedures and apply them to individual cases.
· Ability to organize assigned social work and develop effective work methods.
· Ability to work harmoniously with associates, families, individuals, and social organizations.
