If so, you may be our next Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Advisor for the USAID-funded Community Health Activity (CHA).
Last Mile Health is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Advisor for an expected 5-year, estimated $10-$24.99 million Community Health Activity project in Liberia. The purpose of this USAID-funded Community Health Activity will be to result in, achieve and/or deliver:
- Increase access to quality health, nutrition, and surveillance services.
- CHAs can confidently provide quality services including diagnostic services through robust supervision and training.
- New approaches to messaging around nutrition, family planning, immunization and other MCH services using the required tools and supplies.
- Community Animal Health Worker (CAHWs) capacity increased for early detection and reporting of priority diseases.
- Provide Support to the Government of Liberia’s National Community Health Assistants
- Program through capacity building of key program units and County Health Teams and personnel.
- Provision of stipends to Community Health Assistants (CHAs), Community Health Promoters (CHPs), and Community Animal Health Workers (CAHWs).
Reporting to the Program Director/Chief of Party, the MEAL Advisor will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight of all MEAL activities for the USAID CHA project. The MEAL Advisor will lead the development of the project’s systems for collecting and reporting monitoring and evaluation data, in alignment with USAID and Last Mile Health standards, and international best practices. The MEAL Advisor will be responsible for collaborating with the Ministry of Health and its key stakeholders to strengthen the surveillance and health management information systems for community health. The MEAL Advisor will work closely with the Program Director/Chief of Party and Deputy Program Director/Deputy Chief of Party to ensure that all relevant data is routinely reviewed and used for adaptive management and programmatic improvements.
This position is project-funded, located in Monrovia, Liberia, and is open to both Liberian nationals and International Candidates. This position will be hired on a fixed-term contract and is contingent upon a successful award.
