Reports to: Director, Development

Summary/Objective:

We are looking for a Manager, Development to join our team. The Manager will manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospects and work to move donors through the pipeline with engagement opportunities throughout the year.

The Manager will report to the Director, Development.

This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity starting as soon as possible. Ability to travel, when necessary, for donor visits and organizational events is required.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for a portfolio of 150-200 mid-level donors with a focus on retention, increasing average gifts, moving donors to a major gift, and planned gifts

· Effectively engage a portfolio of donors through meaningful connections including phone calls, personalized emails and mailings, face-to-face meetings and other communications

· Create a plan for each donor to serve as the annual engagement plan, effectively and, in a timely manner, execute that plan to retain and upgrade donors, and document all activities in Moves Management and/or Tasks in database

· Prepare and personalize correspondence and fundraising materials, including donor stewardship and impact reports, funding proposals, briefing memos, and acknowledgment letters as appropriate

· Assist with donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising events as requested

· Serve as a primary contact for incoming inquiries from mid-level donors

· Undertake special projects and other responsibilities as requested

Required education and experience:

• Bachelor’s (B.A./B.S.) degree or equivalent

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in development or fundraising, ideally in a non-profit environment

• Ability to travel, when necessary, for donor visits and organizational events is required.

• Strong technological aptitude with solid skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and donor database software.

• Detail-oriented; ability to effectively collect, analyze, organize, distill, and present information to a range of audience members

• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• Great customer service and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain perspective and a sense of humor

Preferred education and experience:

• Experience with Salesforce

Compensation Range:

$60,000-70,000
