Reports to: Branavan Yasabala, Manager, Product Development and Manufacturing

Summary/Objective

As a division of Smile Train, Simulare is dedicated to enhancing surgical skills of surgeons through the development of simulators and training programs which will result in significantly superior patient safety and outcomes.

We develop creative, cutting-edge simulation solutions which enable surgeons around the globe to practice complex surgical procedures on cleft patients. Our goal is to build a team of highly motivated, self-starters who are interested in making a difference in the lives of others.

Our Production Technicians are responsible for creating Simulare’s advanced physical simulators. For a candidate with the motivation and artistic skills, the role will allow us to refine our production techniques and develop new products to drive our growth.

Due to growth, we are adding two new Production Technicians/Assemblers to our team.

This is a permanent position conveniently located at 174 Spadina Ave, Toronto, Ontario and will work remotely to start. Please note that suitable candidates will be invited to participate in an hour long in-person interview / production scenario-based testing.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assembly and production of products to meet quality and delivery objectives
  • Participate in the development of complex physical simulators
  • Contribute to other duties as requested and participate in creating a rewarding work environment

Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions in a manual while assembling detailed components
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accept feedback is a must
  • Past experience in jewelry making or watch repair is an asset
  • Past experience in graphic design, photo editing, and taking high-quality photos is an asset.
  • Past experience in small model building, sculpture, miniatures or fly tying is an asset
  • Past experience in hand soldering would be an asset
  • Good dexterity and eyesight to work with small tools and components
  • Reasonable Microsoft Office skills
