Open Capital LLP (‘Open Capital’) is a private equity firm which invests growth capital in small and medium sized private companies in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with a particular focus on Russia and on technology investments in general. We have access to capital from the partners and fund each investment on a deal-by-deal basis, combining our own capital with that of other sophisticated investors. We look to put between $5M to $30M of equity into each opportunity for significant minority or majority stakes. The Open Capital team is headed by four partners and operates from London, Moscow, and Kiev. We also have in-house financial audit and legal teams based in Moscow. The team has a wealth of experience in investing in the CIS and in Europe as well as in helping portfolio companies achieve their goals, generating strong returns for investors. We have a disciplined and rigorous approach to due diligence and transaction execution which we believe maximizes the probability of successful investing. Open Capital targets private equity investment opportunities which satisfy the following criteria: Geography - main focus CIS, in particular Russia, but flexible. Size - private companies with an enterprise value of $5M - $50M, looking to invest $0.5M - $30M of equity per deal. Stage of development - growth capital and business expansion situations. Not interested in green field or exploration projects. Size of stake - significant minority or majority. Sector focus - agnostic but preference for technology.
