About the Role
The Tupande Market Access Associate is an essential part of the Kenya Tupande team and part of one of the largest social enterprises in Africa. Our culture code guides us in how we seek to achieve this vision.
As the Market Access Associate, you will work with the Kenya Market Access team to lead innovation, growth and continuous improvement across markets to maximize impact for smallholder farmers and value for Tupande. You will lead a section of the Market Access team directly managing 2-3 staff members, and reporting to the Market Access Manager.
This is a remote position based in Nairobi, Kenya with field travel required.
Responsibilities
This role is an opportunity for you to directly improve results, advise leadership, shape organisation culture and make your colleagues better at their jobs. Specifically, you will:
- Lead strategic projects: You will lead and implement high priority market access projects needed to achieve Tupande's vision for farmer impact
- Team management: You will also spend time supporting your direct reports on their professional development and daily work.
- External relationship management: With support from your manager you will build strategic partnerships with industry players to grow market access opportunities

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- 4+ years of working experience with 3+ years of strategy or management consulting experience
- A background in managing complex projects and coordinating across multiple teams in a fast-growing organization, and a propensity for innovation
- Experience working in a fast paced, results-oriented work environment.
- Experience building and maintaining simple to complex spreadsheets (can perform complex functions)
- A Bachelor's degree is a minimum requirement for this role
- Fluency in English with an ability to work in rural environments
