Nexleaf is a purpose driven organization that partners with low and middle income countries to ensure they have the data they need to build lasting solutions that improve people’s health. Our core product, ColdTrace, is a remote temperature monitoring (RTM) solution and data platform for vaccine storage that collects temperature data, sends alerts to health workers when vaccine fridges are not operating properly, and provides insights to government stakeholders to make systematic improvements to cold chain performance. Nexleaf’s technology is used in over 25 countries across Africa and Asia, protecting and supporting the infrastructure required to get safe vaccines to 1 in 10 children born each year.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator to support the Manufacturing and Logistics department in overseeing and optimizing manufacturing operations and logistics processes. This role involves working closely with the Manufacturing and Development Manager, vendors, production teams, and management to identify areas of improvement, implement process enhancements, and maintain rigorous quality control procedures while meeting production goals.

This role reports to the Head of Operations, India, will work out of our Delhi office, and will require upto 50% local travel and occasional domestic travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiency Improvement:
    • Collaborate with the Manufacturing and Development Manager to analyze current manufacturing processes and logistics operations to identify bottlenecks, delays, and inefficiencies.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
    • Monitor production schedules and work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Quality Control:
    • Assist the Manufacturing and Development Manager in establishing and maintaining quality assurance protocols and standards for manufacturing processes and linked logistics operations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of vendors' facilities and products to ensure adherence to quality guidelines.
    • Collaborate with vendors to address quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Collaborate with the Manufacturing and Development Manager to identify and evaluate potential vendors, ensuring they meet the required quality and efficiency standards.
    • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors, including service level agreements and quality targets.
    • Participate in periodic vendor performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • 4-5 years experience in a manufacturing coordination role, with a focus on process improvement and quality control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
