Student assistant for support with website editing (Wordpress) - Sustainability & Ethics in Education Initiative

The Strategy and Analytics Team supports the systematic integration of sustainability and ethics into teaching and learning. The team's goal is to enable students to address global challenges such as climate change, resource justice and ethical decision-making competently, and to act as 'change agents for a better tomorrow'.
As a student assistant, you will contribute to embedding sustainability and ethics in teaching and learning at ETH Zurich by providing organisational and content-related support.
Project background
Within the S&E Initiative, we have collected teaching activities for sustainability across ETH departments and partner universities (ENHANCE+). We are now getting ready to publish such collection on the existing Competence View website and on similar catalogues. We aim to make such innovative teaching activities visible, accessible, and easy to adopt for instructors, thereby enabling knowledge exchange and supporting high‑quality teaching across the university and within the ENHANCE Alliance.
Job description
You will support the S&E Initiative in the following focus areas:
- Assisting with website editing, including preparing, structuring, and publishing teaching examples on a WordPress‑based platform
- Assisting with the organisation of workshops, including logistical and administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling, room booking, materials preparation)
- Assisting with basic literature research related to sustainability and ethics in higher education
Profile
- You are a Bachelor's or Master's student at a Swiss university
- You are motivated to contribute to integrating sustainability and ethics into higher education
- You are well-organised, reliable, efficient and independent
- You have a positive 'can-do' attitude and enjoy providing feedback from a student perspective
- You are proficient in MS Office
- You have basic knowledge of WordPress and a general affinity for digital tools and website editing
- You communicate confidently and precisely in English - additional proficiency in German would be beneficial
