POSITION: Credit Operations Intern (Full Time)

GP creates and manages impact-first investment funds that make loans and early-stage investments in social enterprises serving people living in poverty, primarily in Latin America and Africa. The GP team is comprised of mission-driven, dedicated, high-performing colleagues working primarily from offices in Seattle, Washington (USA), Bogotá, Colombia, and Nairobi, Kenya. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Credit Operations Intern supports GP’s Social Investment Team (SIT) by executing established portfolio monitoring processes, maintaining high-quality data, producing routine reports, and making incremental improvements to existing tools and workflows. This is a hands-on role focused on accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication across teams. As an intern, you will be exposed to GP’s full investment cycle, learning about the impact investing space while sharpening your skills.
- Location: Bogotá regional office (hybrid)
- Reporting to: Director of Credit
- Type: 12-month Internship (full-time)
- Compensation: $2.5 million COP per month plus benefits
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive and promote a strong data-informed culture throughout GP and manage high-quality and flexible credit and investment data systems.
- Execute established portfolio data workflows: collect, validate, and upload partner financial/operational data on schedule.
- Maintain data integrity: monitor completeness, resolve discrepancies, and document fixes.
- Support the implementation of AI tools to make data collection and verification processes more efficient and effective.
- Produce recurring reports (internal/external) using existing templates and dashboards.
- Operate and maintain current analysis tools; propose well-scoped improvements when helpful.
- Coordinate with SIT and Operations to ensure timely inputs for closings, disbursements, and monitoring cycles.
- Track task status and deadlines; maintain process documentation and checklists.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare portfolio and risk analyses using predefined metrics and queries. Contribute to analytical reports.
- Pilot process enhancements (e.g., template tweaks, automating a manual step) with guidance.

- Highly organized and attentive to detail, with an ability to prioritize and stay focused on outcomes and project vision while adhering to tight reporting deadlines.
- Ability to quickly learn to use new software programs and translate these into business and portfolio/risk management requirements.
- Strong communication skills with a variety of personalities and cultures.
- Solid writing skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications:
- A desire to make an impact in an organization working to expand opportunity for people living in poverty.
- Foundational knowledge of finance/accounting; familiarity with credit or risk concepts a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in finance, Economics, or a related field (graduating until December 2026).
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
- Professional fluency French preferred.
- To be considered for this role, you must have the ability to legally work in Colombia (if applying to Bogotá) without visa sponsorship.
