Job Summary

The People & Culture Partner I serves as a trusted P&C advisor to a defined portfolio of clients
under the guidance of a more senior People & Culture Partner. This role combines frontline P&C
partnership with cross-cutting support to P&C departmental operations, ensuring consistent,
compliant, and high-quality people services. As frontline P&C Partner, the P&C Partner I may be
responsible for providing direct support across all P&C disciplines for a given client group or may
deliver this support indirectly by supervising a project-funded P&C team who is responsible. In its
cross cutting departmental operations roles, this position contributes to efficiency, consistency,
and standardization across the department in areas which include but are not limited to
workforce planning, employee relations, data reporting, knowledge management, vendor
management, and process improvement.


Accountabilities

  • Provides responsive support across all P&C disciplines to an assigned client group as a direct service provider and/or indirectly as a supervisor of project-funded local P&C teams.
  • This includes, but is not limited to recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll, training & development, HRIS systems and work permit visa.
  • Advises on routine employee relations matters
  • Coordinates onboarding, offboarding, and job changes
  • Supports global/regional P&C policy and program roll-out
  • Creates reports and maintains documentation
  • Assists in vendor management and knowledge management
  • Participates in department-wide strategic P&C initiatives


Applied Knowledge & Skills
Intermediate level P&C knowledge
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Data analysis and reporting experience
Policy interpretation and issue resolution
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office/Teams


Problem Solving & Impact
Resolves routine to moderately complex P&C issues independently, and more complex P&C
issues with support of supervisor.
Provides input into process improvement and system design.
Able to execute special and ad-hoc projects based on agreed upon parameters.


Supervision Given/Received
Reports to a P&C Partner II
May supervise regional or project-funded P&C staff under the guidance of supervisor.


Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree. 8-10 years of P&C experience in generalist or client-facing roles.
Advanced skills in MS Office suite, HRIS systems, and payroll systems.
Prior work in an international non-governmental organization helpful.


Travel Requirements
Up to 10% travel domestically or internationally may be required
