We are seeking suitably qualified candidates for the USAID-funded South Sudan HIV Care & Treatment project/Lifeline for Health Activity that will Improve equitable access to and use of quality comprehensive HIV prevention, testing, care, and treatment services for all South Sudanese, provide comprehensive services for key populations at the current locations and expand as needed and develop local partner capacity and prepare local partners to manage direct awards. Recruitment is contingent upon the successful award of the project and the selection of the final applicant is subject to USAID approval.

Director, Capacity Strengthening- South Sudan Lifeline for Health Activity

FHI 360 is seeking applications for the position of Director Capacity Strengthening for an anticipated five-year USAID South Sudan Lifeline for Health Activity.

Description:

The purpose of the Activity is (i)to improve equitable access to use of quality comprehensive HIV prevention, testing, care, and treatment services for people living in South Sudan, particularly targeting at-risk young men and boys, women and girls, and children; (ii) maintain and continue quality comprehensive services for key populations at current locations and expand geographically as needed and (iii) and develop local partner capacity and prepare local partners for future direct funding. The Director of Capacity Strengthening will oversee the capacity and institution strengthening the portfolio of work and direct the provision of technical assistance and training support to national organizations in an array of technical areas including HIV care and treatment social and behavior change (SBC), monitoring and evaluation (M&E), organizational development, leadership and coordination.

Requirements:

Master’s Degree or International Equivalent in organizational development, public health, social sciences, or a related field. Project Management (PM) Certification preferred

Minimum of 10+ years of relevant technical/project management experience (including 3+ years of leadership and line management skills) in progressively increasing responsibility in design and managing complex, large capacity, and institution-strengthening programs

Strong understanding and previous experience working with, advising, and providing capacity strengthening to national non-governmental organizations/civil society organizations (NNGOs/CSOs), and private sector organizations

Demonstrated knowledge of capacity-strengthening methodologies at the system, organization, and individual level

Demonstrated experience working with the Government of South Sudan, NNGO/CSOs, private and public sector, and other stakeholders preferably in HIV-related areas

Professional training and experience with adult learning methods, training or facilitation, organizational capacity assessments, mapping, and planning

Strong understanding and expertise in HIV ▪ Experience working on USAID-funded projects and knowledge of USAID reporting requirements and funding parameters

Strong understanding and expertise in HIV ▪ Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English and Juba Arabic and any other local spoken language.
