Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communication and Outreach Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with NGOs and donors, particularly US donors, and possess excellent media liaison skills. This role is crucial in enhancing our project’s visibility and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication and outreach strategies to promote the organization’s mission and programs.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, ensuring consistent and positive coverage of the organization’s activities.
  • Coordinate and manage communication efforts with the donor
  • Create and disseminate engaging content across various platforms, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and the organization’s website.
  • participate in events, workshops, and conferences to enhance the organization’s outreach efforts.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive and aligned messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in communication and outreach roles, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Proven experience working with donors, with a strong preference for experience with US donors.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with media and secure media coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic, English, and French.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
