Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to provide leadership on strategic IT Operations' projects across a full stack of infrastructure technologies. The successful candidate will have a deep and on hands experience of Microsoft Infrastructure including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Cloud Services, Office 365, PowerShell scripting, Identity management among others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a lead resource on strategic IT Operations' projects across a full stack of technologies including infrastructure related hardware and software, cybersecurity, networking, telco and more.

  • Key responsibilities include researching, implementing, testing, and documenting the solutions.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain identity and access management solutions.

  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IAM solutions align with business needs.

  • Participate in security incident response efforts and provide remediation recommendations.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to team members.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to Windows, Linux, UCS, VMware, and Azure products.

  • Maintains and monitors infrastructure integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.

  • Develop, document, and perform approved system maintenance and DR plans.

  • Assist project teams with technical issues during development efforts.

  • Create, administer, and maintain systems

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

  • Develop and maintain access control policies and procedures.

  • Manage user access requests and maintain user access records

  • Install, configure, and maintain Azure Active Directory (AAD) and third-party software integration within operational guidelines.

  • Create and maintain procedures and documentation for installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.

  • Provide guidance with industry best practices related to AAD

  • Configuring the synchronization of identities and related attributes from the central Identity Management system and integrating to AAD

  • Provide technical support to internal teams regarding IAM-related policies and procedures issues.

  • Research and evaluate new IAM technologies and make recommendations to improve the security posture of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Minimum of 7+ years of systems management

  • Priority - Experience with identity and access management solutions such as Azure Active Directory and Single Sign-On (SSO)

  • Priority - Strong understanding of security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills ,

  • Experience with Azure AD Connect, IAM roles , federation, SSO, and SAML

  • Desirable - Strong Experience with PowerShell and Python Scripting

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Typical remote office environment.

  • Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift/move up to 5 lbs.

Technology to be Used:

  • Personal Computer/Laptop, Microsoft applications (i.e., Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams), cell phone/mobile technology, and standard office equipment.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%

The expected hiring salary range for this role is listed below. FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.

Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.

Hiring Salary Range: $100,000-137,000
