Position at Ashoka

Ashoka is seeking an entrepreneur to lead Ashoka’s selection and engagement strategy with leading organizations across priority industries, such as finance, tech, healthcare, media, legal, consumer goods, philanthropy, and insurance. This entrepreneur will develop a system for conducting due diligence, aligning strategic priorities and social paradigms, staffing partnership teams, building Ashoka’s value proposition, and creating rich partnerships that generate lasting value to both organizations and to the societal paradigm shifts that the partnerships serve. These strategic partnerships not only provide the levers and capacity needed to shape societal thinking, but they are also the primary source of revenues to fund Ashoka’s Fellowships and our work.
The Global Partnerships Team (GPT) Leader will ensure that Ashoka focuses our collective energy on the most promising, highly influential organizations that see opportunity and mission in advancing society for the good of all. The GPT Leader will bring together the right combination of teams across Ashoka’s network to form strategic partnerships that create win-win value for the partner and for the field. The GPT work builds on Ashoka three core competencies: (1) to select the most promising innovative ideas from the most promising entrepreneurs, (2) to help others to see a new vision, and (3) to facilitate individual and organizational transformation. The GPT Leader will need to embrace and leverage all three core competencies in building and overseeing these strategic, value-creating partnerships.
The right candidate will have the skills and 20+ years of related experience to:
  • Partner with and influence the current executive leadership and the next generation of leadership in multinational organizations across different industries
  • Build partnerships by forming the right teams of changemakers to co-create solutions that advance Ashoka Purposes
  • Lead marketing and sales of Ashoka’s unique offerings as well as the potential to create a scratch on history
  • Enhance the deep trust that Ashoka has built with our Fellows and changemaker network, as well as in the broader civil society
  • Oversee partnership staffing to maximize value creation for the partner and revenue creation for Ashoka.
  • Must meet Ashoka's core hiring criteria.
