JOB PURPOSE
In your role as Programme Coordinator in Amnesty Tech, you will assist the Programme Director, other Programme Coordinator and the wider team with clerical administration in providing a comprehensive, collaborative support service that enables the team to meet their objectives and ensures an efficient running of the programme.
This roles requires you to ensure the efficient and appropriate operational management of the programme including but not limited to: diary management, budget forecasting and management, travel booking and expenses processing, servicing of regular meetings, financial processing, facilitating interdepartmental collaboration and specific tasks relevant to the programme.
This role is a 5 month fixed-term contract, till 31/08/2026.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage financial processes and analysis, ensuring efficient financial management and administration of the programme, including extensive grant management for a largely restricted funded programme
- Monitor the programmes vast grant portfolio and donor relationships, working with Global Fundraising to ensure donor needs are met, grant reports are drafted and reviewed on time
- Prepare and facilitate preparations of project budgets, determining and utilising financial and other resource needs to ensure effective financial management within the Programme
- Lead on the coordination of project overviews, programme planning, budgeting and reporting. Report accurately on the performance of the programme
- Lead on procurement of consultants, suppliers, and freelancers; and on all departmental purchasing including capital expenditure
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience of administering and coordinating a large and diverse department or programme at a senior level
- Ability to manage own work plan and to make recommendations to the Programme Director on administrative improvements
- Experience of preparing and monitoring budgets (including project budgets), and an ability to identify budget problems and solve them
- Highly organized and efficient
- Knowledge and practice of budget maintenance systems, financial resources management and record keeping
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and diplomatically in English – verbally and in writing, face to face and over the telephone
