Acumen is looking for a Program Analyst to join the East Africa Acumen Academy team. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and at least 3 years of experience providing efficient operations and logistics support in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in Nairobi and reports to the Acumen Academy Manager. The team works in the office 3 days a week.

About the role

The Acumen Academy Program Analyst for East Africa will be essential in managing the logistical, operational, and administrative needs of the East Africa Fellowship and Foundry teams. We are seeking a candidate with exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage various responsibilities including travel coordination, data management, and event planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Foundry Operations Support

  • Coordinate and manage logistics for East Africa and global Foundry events.
  • Support management of Communities of Practice.
  • Provide administrative support for Foundry Members during the nomination stages of Acumen events.
  • Prepare and compile detailed profiles for Fellows.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Academy events.

Data Management

  • Update, maintain, and manage all Foundry data and tools.
  • Organize logistics for East Africa Regional Gatherings, including arranging venues, accommodations, and transportation.
  • Support the coordination and management of surveys related to Academy initiatives.

Logistics and Operations

  • Coordinate travel and accommodations for Fellows and Foundry Members, including booking flights, transfers, ground transportation, and hotels.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of stationery and seminar supplies; procure additional items as needed and manage the distribution of materials.
  • Source venues and oversee logistical arrangements for Academy events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data management. Knowledge of data management platforms is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with team members, Fellows, vendors, and partners.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in event planning and management.
  • Self reflective and aligned with Acumen values
  • Permanently authorized to work in Kenya. Available to work in the Nairobi office 3 days a week.
