About the Foundry
Through the Fellowship program, Acumen invests in developing the moral leadership skills of social builders. Acumen Fellowship graduates enter the Foundry, a global community with a shared ethos and vision: to build a world based on dignity that centers people and planet. The Foundry is the alumni community for the +1,600 graduates of our Fellowhsip or Accelerator Programs.
About the Role
The Associate Director will be responsible for building and managing the infrastructure to increase the engagement and impact of the +1,600 Foundry Members around the world; including the governance model, technology platform and communication channels. We want to take the number of scaled organizations in the Foundry (defined as those serving 1 million people/year) from 50 to 150 over the next 3 years and to build a connected community of leaders with a shared commitment to each other and Acumen’s mission.
Key accountabilities include:
- Design and execute a community engagement road map. Work closely with the Director of Foundry to develop and roll-out a plan for global community engagement, including maintaining a regular cadence of communication/touch points and the assessment—and potential roll-out—of a technology platform to facilitate connection.
- Manage global Foundry data reporting. In partnership with the Academy Impact Analysists, manage a process to regularly collect and maintain up-to-date data (including stories) from the regions and develop a global reporting framework that showcases the story of The Foundry’s impact.
- Establish and manage a global Centre of Excellence. Work closely with Regional Acumen Academy Program and Foundry Leads to circulate and synthesize learning and facilitate global roll out of high-imapct ideas and innovations.
- Manage the Global Foundry Governance Structure. Work closely with the Director of Foundry and Key Regional stakeholders to establish a Global Foundry Governance Structure and play an active role in the management, coordination and health of the organizing structure.
- Unlock learning content from the Foundry. In partnership with the Curriculum team, establish and manage a proess to identify, capture and distribute learning content from Foundry Members.
Qualifications and skills
- 12+ years of experience building and leading global communities (virtual and IRL)
- Track record of scaling community engagement and impact
- Analytical mindset to understand data, insights and impact
- Creative thinking to develop innovative community programs
- Communication skills to work with global, cross-cultural colleagues, partners and community members
- Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
- Willingness to take risks and ability to address complex issues creatively and effectively
- Effectively collaborates with and across teams, seeks, and provides constructive feedback
- Self reflective and aligned with Acumen values
Location
Mumbai (India)
This role reports into the Director of Acumen Foundry and will collaborate closely with colleagues across Academy (Content, Technology, Fellowship, and Marketing).
